Description
The role involves designing and drafting control systems and control equipment, as well as updating older drawings. The job includes both internal work within the company and direct, billable work for clients.
Key responsabilities
- Design and development of electrical panels and control systems for standard and custom solutions
- Drafting of wiring diagrams and installation drawings for products, control systems, and cooling systems
- Updating and maintaining technical drawings and documentation
- Preparing parts lists and technical files
- Supporting selection of control components for specific projects
- Providing technical support to engineering, service, and production departments
- Communicating with suppliers regarding components and systems
- Participating in direct, billable client work
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field
- Experience in designing and drafting electrical control systems
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)
- Strong understanding of control systems and industrial automation
- Ability to produce and manage technical documentation and parts lists
- Good collaboration skills across departments
- Effective communication with suppliers and clients
- Proficiency in Icelandic (and English for technical purposes)
