RoteX Thawing®

The RoteX Thawing™ system is a fully automated, energy-efficient solution for thawing frozen food products, using precise temperature and timing control to reduce drip loss, preserve product quality, and minimize bacterial growth through low-temperature thawing.

Overview

The RoteX Thawing™ system is designed for efficient thawing of frozen food products, especially frozen fish blocks and individually frozen items. Using the ON-TRACK computer system, it provides full control over thawing time, water temperature, throughput, and energy consumption. The patented side injection of water and air ensures uniform pressure, which helps individual pieces separate faster, while the system recycles water through a heat exchanger for consistent temperature distribution.

ROI and Sustainability

The system uses a fraction of the energy required by defrosting chambers using heat and steam or microwaves and radio frequency systems. RoteX Thawing® also offers substantial water savings compared to conventional systems. Tub thawing systems use about 5 liters of water for every kg of fish, while the RoteX Thawing® system uses only 0.5 liters for every kg of fish.

Why Choose this Product

The RoteX Thawing™ system offers precise control and energy-efficient thawing, minimizing drip loss and preserving product yield. It is ideal for improving food safety by preventing bacterial growth through low-temperature thawing. The system also saves labor and water, providing a sustainable, high-performance solution for thawing that ensures consistent product quality.
