“OptimICE, first of all, increases the quality majorly.”

“The ability to further cool the product in the system has proven to be very beneficial. As a matter of fact, our Japanese buyers have commented on the better quality of our product after we installed the ValuePump.”

"This year, we are launching a turkey processing plant, capable of processing 214 tons of product per day.” Says Chairman of the Board of Directors for Damate Group Naum Babaev. “This increase in capacity requires a great amount of automation in the processing line. We feel the addition of the MDM solution from KAPP Skaginn will ensure this increase in capacity will run smoothly and overall maintain the high quality standards we work by”

"We have used the OptimICE® Liquid ice systems in our fishing vessels for a long time. Our experience is very good. It gives us better quality, longer shelf life and the labor hours are reduced. We get a higher price for our products".

"KAPP's OptimICE® liquid slurry ice system has been a game-changer for our Pacific cod pot fishing operation in Western Alaska. The increased shelf-life, coupled with the improved catch, handling, and chilling methods, has resulted in exceptional Pacific cod products that far exceed the industry standard. We hope our slurry-ice treated Kaia Cod™ becomes the benchmark for excellence in the North Pacific cod fisheries."

“We have used the OptimICE® equipment in our fishing vessels for many years. Our experience has been outstanding. It gives us, without a doubt, better quality, longer shelf life, reduced labor hours, and better price for our products.”

We’ve been running the KAPP ScaleMaster 800 in our whitefish line for just over six months, processing mainly tilapia and sea bass. From day one, the unit delivered clean, consistent results with minimal scale residue left on the fillets. The dual-roller system adapts well to size variation without damaging the skin—something we struggled with in previous machines.

We added the KAPP AutoGrade 500 to our fillet line in February, aiming to improve both precision and speed in weight-based packing. After five months of daily use, I can say this grader is a major upgrade from our previous setup. It processes up to 180 portions per minute without jamming or drift in accuracy. The built-in vision system is fast and surprisingly reliable, even with slight variations in surface moisture.

We installed the PolarSwift IQF Tunnel Freezer in our secondary processing facility three months ago, and so far, performance has exceeded expectations. We're running skinless salmon portions and squid rings through it at about 1.5 tons per hour, and the uniformity of the freeze is spot-on. Product separation is excellent—no clumping, even after extended storage—and core temps are consistently reaching -18°C within 6–7 minutes.
